This is a deeply body-centered experience rooted in the understanding that “the body keeps the score,” a concept from the groundbreaking work of Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, a renowned psychiatrist and trauma researcher. In his book, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma, he emphasises how our bodies hold on to the memories and emotions of past experiences, even when our conscious minds may not.
Research highlighted in his work suggests that up to 80% of the sensory and emotional information we process is stored within the body. This means that trauma and life experiences don’t just reside in our minds; they live within our tissues, muscles, and nervous systems, influencing our behaviour, health, and emotional well-being.
In this session, you will be invited to bring an intention—a question, a challenge, or something you’d like clarity on. Together, we’ll explore the language of your body, gently attuning to the subtle or more pronounced sensations that arise. With curiosity and compassion, we will allow these sensations to guide us toward deeper understanding and healing.
Drawing on my intuitive and healing gifts and the transformative tools of Compassionate Inquiry – developed by Dr.Gabor Mate, I will help you uncover and address the root causes of physical or emotional symptoms. This process isn’t about fixing but about listening, acknowledging, and integrating what your body has been holding for you.
This session offers a space to reconnect with yourself in profound ways, fostering healing and self-awareness that can ripple into all areas of your life. It’s an invitation to trust the wisdom of your body and meet it with openness and care.
I have completed the one year Compassionate Inquiry Training and am CI informed.
